Cardiff Holdings Corp. was formed in 2006 through the acquisition and combination of two leading card personalization and fulfillment companies, Source One Direct and Shoreline Business Solutions.


Source One Direct

Source One Direct was founded in 1996 in Atlanta, GA, as an outsourced provider of printing services focused on statement processing and fulfillment. In 2000, Source One Direct introduced an offering of non-secure card fulfillment services. Following the success of the card program business, Source One Direct entered the secure personalization segment specializing in disaster recovery services and overflow capacity for large issuers and was certified by Visa and MasterCard in 2003. Subsequently, Source One Direct was certified by Discover and American Express in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

Through continuous investments in production capabilities from 2003 to 2006, Source One Direct established itself as a full-service outsourced provider of secure and non-secure personalization and fulfillment services and related printing services. To support Source One Direct’s broad service platform, the Company developed JAAMS to assist in workflow management and enhance customer service. Source One Direct’s customer base is primarily composed of long-run card issuers including multiple Fortune 500 customers in the financial services, healthcare, retail and loyalty and membership sectors. Source One’s 100,000 square-foot facility located in Atlanta also serves as the corporate headquarters for Cardiff Holdings.

Shoreline

Shoreline was formed in 1987 to distribute business forms to small and midsized banks, credit unions and other financial services institutions. In the early 1990s, as its reputation for dependability and service grew, Shoreline’s customers requested that the Company enter the ATM card market. As a result, Shoreline began focusing on providing ATM cards, PIN fulfillment and related documentation services to its existing customer base.

Shoreline further expanded its services to include secure cards as customers began transitioning from non-secure ATM cards to Visa and MasterCard branded debit cards. Following receipt of Visa and MasterCard certification in 2000, Shoreline solidified its position in the more profitable secure card market.

Since inception, Shoreline has developed a loyal base of over 1,000 customers originally located in the Northeastern United States and now national in scope. Drawing from its heritage as a service provider for local banks, Shoreline’s customer base consists primarily of small and mid-sized banks and credit unions that rely on Shoreline for secure personalization and fulfillment of small batch, highly customized orders. Prior to joining Cardiff in 2006, Shoreline, similar to Source One Direct, had developed a reputation for providing unparalleled service to customers and rapid turnaround times, including same#day and next#day service.

Shoreline originally operated from a 19,000 square-foot facility before moving to the new, purpose-built 40,000 square foot facility it has occupied since June 2010.
